Kate Winslet recalled a moment when an old man recognized her as Rose in India

 

'Titanic' is a movie, which is loved by every cinema lover. It was James Cameron's magical hand that makes it all time blockbuster movies. Even now, it is stated the world's 3rd most earing film of Hollywood. Recently this film completed 24 years of its release. Titanic was released on December 19 in 1997. It has been 24 years since its release but the magic of this film still makes the movie watcher feel the warmth and calamity of the Titanic incidents.

 

Recently, Kate Winslet, who played the Titanic film's main lady character, recalled an incident when she realized the popularity of her character in India. She described it in a website interview. Let's know what she said in her interview regarding her visit to India when an old man recognize her as a Rose.

Recalling the incidents, the Titanic actress said that she went to India after a couple of years of Titanic release, she was walking in the hill of the Himalayas. She was alone with a backpack on her back. While walking a man, whose age was almost 85, walking with a stick, came to her and said, 'You - Titanic'. 

 

Interesting thing was that the old man was blind in one eye. 

 

When the old man recognize kate then she had tears in her eyes because she then felt that the Titanic film was everywhere, people loved it. The film had given so much warmth the love to so many people. 
 

For Your information, Titanic has won 11 of its 14 academy awards, which is a record.  Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet portrayed the role of Jack Dawson and Rose Dawson. The film was based on a real incident which took place in 1914, the sinking of a ship called the Titanic. 

 

For portraying the role of Rose, Kate Winslet was paid $2 million dollars.
